Park West Gallery Co-Sponsors Best Buddies “All In Good Taste” Benefit

Best Buddies, All in Good Taste, Park West GalleryPark West Gallery donated various works of fine art to the Best Buddies “All In Good Taste” fundraiser held at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa on Thursday, October 21.

Over 400 guests gathered at South Florida’s Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa on Thursday night, to lend their support to the Best Buddies exclusive charity event, “All In Good Taste”. Park West Gallery was a co-sponsor of the event, as an extension of our ongoing philanthropic efforts to support local charities and nonprofit organizations.

The “All In Good Taste” fundraiser was a huge success. Park West Gallery was able to raise $4,500 alone from the artwork we donated for the silent auction. Other highlights of the evening included a preview of co-sponsor Audi’s newly unveiled A8 sedan and a fashion show presented by A Nose for Clothes.

“Through our fundraising efforts, such as tonight’s ‘All in Good Taste’ event we bring together the finest crowds of South Florida and introduce them to our mission and local sponsors. Best Buddies would not be where it is today without the amazing volunteers, donors and sponsors,” explained Karen Reyes, Program Supervisor of Best Buddies Florida.

The Park West Gallery donation included works of fine art by contemporary artists like Alex Gockel, Scott Jacobs, Itzchak Tarkay and Romero Britto, as well as animation works and a Miami Dolphin’s jersey signed by Dan Marino.

“A huge thank you goes out to Park West Gallery for contributing well over $10,000 worth of art to our silent auction,” said Reyes. “Each one of the paintings that was auctioned off contributes to our programs and solidifies our presence in Broward County. It is through these events that we bring awareness to our communities and enrich people’s lives by introducing them to our mission.”

“It is wonderful to work for a generous organization like Park West Gallery,” said Sam Cabral, Director of Merchandising for Park West Gallery. My wife and I have been involved with Best Buddies for many years and with the help of Park West Gallery we hope to continue to support this great cause for many years to come”.

The event included tastings from many Detroit area restaurants, a silent and live auction, and the presentation of the John Dingell Award and Peter Max artwork donated by Albert Scaglione and his wife Mitsie.  All proceeds went to benefit the March of Dimes.
